Our company currently has an exciting opportunity available for Business Development Officer who will be responsible for the following:
Identifying and analysing business opportunities meeting the company’s investment guidelines, such opportunities by participation in competitive processes (public or private) tender processes or partnerships aligned with the company’s core competencies.
Supporting the business strategy based on the profile of the company’s or project business needs as well as to support its implementation through efficient cooperation with other corporate departments, as necessary
Having complete insight of the competitive environment in the sector, in the area of reference and to perform analyses thereof to be used for developing the company’s business strategy
To possess a sound understanding of the solutions that are available in the business and align them to various partners and market the business offerings accordingly
To support the preparation of all documentation/attend meetings necessary for investment approval, whether internal and/or external (when a third-party approval is required)
To perform all necessary activity for the project development, with special attention to permitting and liaisons with (internal or external) stakeholders
To involve other stakeholders during the development cycle and, once ready, handover the projects while maintaining responsibility for supporting such functions as required
To maintain and develop organizational culture, values and reputation in its markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma or Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or equivalent qualification
Minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience in business development or sales
Experience with public sector procurement laws and tender processes. Knowledge of the built environment would be an advantage
Familiarity and experience with Supply Chain Management processes in both public and private sector is essential
Negotiation skills (specifically on commercial contracts, partnership agreements).

Showing initiative and takes ownership, results-driven with a passion for excellence and attention to detail
Deal structuring & negotiation
Team player, performing under pressure & problem solving
Candidates must be willing to travel nationally
