Junk Mail, in partnership with Truzo, only allows you to enable Secure Trade on your advert if it is listed as a for sale advert and the price is R100 or above.


Please note:

We run all adverts through a keyword list to ensure your advert does not contain anything that might be subject to exclusion, as per the list below. If you are not able to activate Secure Trade on your advert or your advert gets rejected for Secure Trade, it might be due to the exclusion list we run it through, over and above the categories we exclude.

Should your advert be rejected for Secure Trade by our moderation team, you will receive an email explaining the reject reason. If your advert meets the normal Junk Mail advert criteria, your advert will still go live on the site, it will just not be Secure Trade enabled.


Below is the list of items Truzo does not allow to be sold on their escrow platform:

  • Animals:
    • Any product or part, including but not limited to, leather, skin, hide, fur, wool or hair from any dogs, cats or endangered or threatened animals.
    • Prohibited animal parts, including but not limited to, bone, teeth, horn, ivory, taxidermy, organs, external limbs, secretions or carcasses.
    • Body parts and fluids:
    • Blood
    • Urine
    • Body parts
    • Organs
    • Human tissue
    • Teeth -Digital media and electronic devices:
    • Sale of streaming devices loaded with software that facilitates unauthorised access to content
    • Jailbroken or loaded devices
    • Jamming or descrambling devices
    • Wiretapping devices
  • Documents, currency, and financial instruments:
    • Real and replica documents such as passports, IDs or certificates
    • Real money (cash or cash equivalent instruments and coins)
    • Replica or prop money
    • Digital or cryptocurrency
    • Active bank credit or debit cards
    • Store credit cards or coupons
    • Pre-paid credit or debit cards
    • Cheques or cheque books
    • Equipment to create counterfeit currency or financial instruments
  • Human exploitation and sexual services:
    • Persons for sale
    • Individuals for sale
    • Escort agencies
    • Commercial sex
    • Live shows for adult entertainment
    • Sexually suggestive services (For example, "texts to send her to get her in bed")
    • Child pornography
    • Domestic helpers
  • Ingestible supplements:
    • Anabolic steroids
    • Chitosan
    • Comfrey
    • Dehydroepiandrosterone
    • Ephedra
    • Human growth hormones
  • Prescription products, drugs, and drug paraphernalia:
    • Drugs, including marijuana and marijuana products
    • Drug paraphernalia, including pipes and bongs
    • Prescription products, including prescription drugs
  • Stolen goods:
    • Buying or selling of items that have been stolen
  • Third-party infringement:
    • Counterfeits, knockoffs or replicas of branded goods, or posts offering goods that are likely to confuse consumers about the source, sponsorship or affiliation of those goods.
    • Unauthorised or pirated copies of copyrighted works, such as videos, films, TV shows and broadcasts, video games, CDs or other musical works, books etc.
  • Weapons, ammunition, and explosives:
    • Firearms and firearm parts
    • Paintball guns
    • BB guns
    • Fireworks
    • Pepper spray
    • Tasers
