Alzheimer's fidget quilts and more

I started "African Alzheimer Fidget Products" in 2015, when I become my mom's full-time unpaid carer.

Making custom themed and personalized, activity sensory fidget items for folks with Alzheimer's and other dementia's is a real joy.

NB: For folks with dementia who have visual disorders, it is important to use reds, oranges and yellows to high contrast and visual acuity. In the case of 'Macular Degeneration', I use a padded decal insert in the center of the item, so the LO can 'feel' their way around.

Over the years I started making items for autism, C.V.I. and a range of other special needs, adults and children. They come in a range of sizes with 'Large' the most popular. However, I do make any size!

I have made fidget cushions in the shape of rugby balls and all sorts. Blankets and quilts (squares) are padded for extra sensory yield and there is usually at least six activity items.

Small stockpile, but always making more. Since my mom's stroke earlier this year, I have a little more time, as she had to go to a local frail care to receive physio.
