This is a wonderful duck to keep as a pet, they are skittish (won’t spend their days pooping at your glass door) but very friendly and sociable (they like to walk by often an say “hi” with a very gentle low volume “quack”). They have good meat and also lay very large, rich and tasty eggs. They are one of the best duck breeds to raise for eggs and lay more or less 300 eggs per year.
