AMD R9-290x OC GPU, Alphacool Heatkiller Copper/Stainless waterblock & backplate

Selling due to complete system change.

I am a programmer/PC builder/Sound Engineer and I used the graphics card exclusively on my multi-media development PC.


I changed from air cooling to water cooling because the noise of the standard AMD fan was so loud it made it impossible to do any work. I imported the water-block & backplate from Germany.

I have never overclocked the card and it has been run at it's standard factory setting speed since purchase. The maximum temperature it has seen was 61C during a lengthy ARMA III session with my kids. It has never been used for bitcoin "mining"!!!!

I removed the card from the system 2 years ago and it has been in its box in the cupboard ever since. When running windows and doing normal work, the card runs at around 30C - 36C depending on ambient room temperature

I'm also selling the Alphacool NexXxoS UT60 Full Copper 360mm Radiator with the card but that is listed separately.

This is ideal for someone who wants to get started with watercooling.

The GPU, Waterblock/Backplate cost me R9960.18 when I bought it in 2014. I have the invoices if required.

Whilst the card is old, it still holds it's own today. Unfortunately, I
cannot tell you how the very latest (2024) games run on it as I have used it
primarily for development work. The games I did play were things like Euro Truck Simulator, ARMA III
(full settings: 99-120FPS) Microsoft Flight simulator, Counterstrike,
Battlefield 2,3,4 etc.

The card comes in it's original box with manual etc.
