1971 VW T31 Fastback

Rare 1971 VW T31 Fastback with facelifted nose. Painstakingly restored and highly original. 1600 twin-carb engine and gearbox expertly rebuilt; engine is correct for this model and all ancillaries are there (only compromise is electronic ignition). Front and rear suspension overhauled and all steering components replaced as well as all suspension rubbers and seals. Fully resprayed and interior fully redone according to original spec (with addition of partial leather). All electrics are there; electric clock is not working but everything else is (including the airbox with electric fan which is unique to this model). Additional oil temp, pressure and voltmeter gauges with matching faces.

Bodywork 7/10 (some previous accident damage on LHS which has been properly repaired, but body filler had to be used due to unavailability of new parts); some minor rust has been repaired on the wheel wells and floorpan.
