Fantastic fully restored Mk 1 mini. It is based on a 1965 Austin Mini 1000 hydrolastic which was exported to SA from the UK on 5th October 1965 and apart from a repair to the battery box has never been welded.
It has a 1275cc Mk3 |cooper S engine, overhauled with new bearings, piston rings, timing chain etc, with a big valve head converted to unleaded, and a hot road cam, twin SU carbs and a Long Branch Manifold. Genuine S 7.5” discs, and a 4 synchro gearbox. Hundreds of new parts have been sourced , including wiring harness, all body and suspension rubbers, window sliders ,brakes and recon alternator. Completely reupholstered including new headlining, with bucket seats
This beautiful car will almost certainly go to the UK if no one local buys it, as have my last 4 vehicles, all advertised locally, so do not tarry! In a years time this will seem cheap :)
