A sterling silver calling card case, Birmingham, 1910. Rectangular with scalloped edges and hinged lid, richly engraved with scrolling foliate and acanthus patterns in the late Victorian/Edwardian rococo revival style. The front includes a blank central cartouche for a monogram. Traditionally used to carry visiting cards during social calls in the early 20th century.
