Two original Vintage calendars, with reproductions of Otto NIELSEN (1916-2000), a Danish poster artist who art worked many SAS productions, whose colour drawings, back in the days. made Nielsen's calendars very popular all over the world. Each calendar represented a different theme and the themes for these two now privately available German editions are:
a/ Maerchen aus aller Welt (1959), international tales from 12 countries, each with a shortened doublefaced tale description page accompanied on the following page by a full sized glossy colour illustration (in total 24 pages all sized 300x260 mm.). b/ des menschen Fluegel (1960) 13 sheets, “of human wings” (inspired respectively by: Heron, Leonardo, Dragons, Swedenborg, W.M.Henson, Lilienthal, C.F.Ader, Wright Brothers, JWA Elling, A. Santos-Dumont, J.C.Ellenhammer, UN), uniformly sized 390 x 275mm. each with a shortened double-faced historical human inspirations of “flying”, always accompanied, on the front side, by exquisite colour illustrations; (cover slightly damaged, but not affecting quality of sheets, all in pristine condition).
