Secure Trade is an Escrow Service on Junk Mail provided by a third-party called Truzo. Secure Trade allows buyers and sellers across South Africa to trade safely on Junk Mail.
Who can use Secure Trade?
Anyone can make use of Secure Trade on Junk Mail, whether you are an individual or a business.
What does Escrow mean?
According to Investopedia, “Escrow is a legal concept describing a financial instrument whereby an asset or escrow money is held by a third-party on behalf of two other parties that are in the process of completing a transaction. Money, securities, funds, and other assets can all be held in escrow.”
How does Secure Trade on Junk Mail work?
- The seller places a FREE advert on Junk Mail and enables Secure Trade on the ad placement form. (The Secure Trade tick box will only appear if certain conditions of the advert are met.)
- The seller registers for Secure Trade.
- The buyer enquires on a Secure Trade enabled advert.
- The buyer registers for Secure Trade.
- The buyer and seller agree on the goods that need to be provided, the price for the goods, whether the goods will be collected or delivered, the number of inspection days required and how the Secure Trade fees will be handled.
- The buyer funds the transaction and the money is placed in Escrow.
- The seller sends the goods, as agreed upon or the goods are collected by the buyer.
- The seller confirms that the buyer has received the goods.
- The buyer releases the payment or the payment automatically gets released after the inspection days have lapsed.
