If you are experiencing problems using the Junk Mail site, we have the solution…
To ensure that you are viewing www.junkmail.co.za correctly on your computer, and have access to all features the site has to offer, please do the following:
1. Update your Internet Browser
If you are using an older version of Internet Explorer to browse the internet, our website might not function 100% correctly. It is easy and free to update your IE brower to the latest version, which will enable you to have the best experience when using Junk Mail.
You can update your IE browser by clicking here and following the steps. There are other internet browsers that you might like to try out like Firefox and Google Chrome which will make your Junk Mail experience an even better and faster one.
2. Reset the Browser cache

When using Junk Mail and many other websites with Internet Expolorer, you might need to reset the cache of the browser.
If you are having trouble loading the search pages, please reset your cache by pressing down the “CTRL” key on your keyboard and simultaniously pressing down the “F5″ button and then releasing them both.

I have been frustrated to the point that I’ve sworn I’ll never visit the Junkmail web site again. The cause of my frustration is the programming that has been put in place to try and prevent access by Bots. So after browsing the ads in a particular section for a while I get this message stating that a “Bot like pattern” has been detected. From there it all goes downhill. I have tried several times to type the letters displayed but I have never been able to get them to compare even though they are apparently the same. Then after a few tries my IP is blocked from accessing the site! How the hell are you supposed to browse the site without following a pattern!

I cannot get into my ad to change the price which did not come up

Please get your technical people to programme a simple option to delete an ad that is no longer relevant. It is frustrating to both buyer and seller when this happens.

I try to put a free-ad in the junkmail myself. When I finalised all the requested info of an ad, it took me to a blank page. This is not right. What must I do?

It is extremely frustrating to use this website as I cannot view any of your adverts. Gumtree now a much better option

For a second I thought it was me, I have also been encountering the same as everybody else== Blank page once you try to pg down or select an item….This is really frustrating……..
Thanks for your feedback Pam. If you’re using Internet Explorer, download Firebox Internet Browser at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/. Install the new browser. This should sort out the blank page issue. You’re more than welcome to report this to our Webmaster directly via webmaster@junkmail.co.za. Include details about the browser that you’re using, etc.
Some words of wisdom for the Junkmail team: There are other websites out there like Autotrader, Gumtree, Olyx etc. that provide a similar service as you do, but without the requirement that I upgrade my browser to have the site work efficiently. Junkmail is the only website were I encounter problems and whilst I understand the solution is to upgrade my browser, please ask yourselves the question: How many people, during a normal WORK day, are able to do this on a WORK PC? – I for one cannot. It’s an elegant solution for someone sitting at home, using a personal PC – on a weekday – but I doubt such a person is your target market – they probably are unemployed!

Please warn other users for this Scam. A lady who calls herself Grace Annette Isaacs targets people who advertise on Junk mail….she claims to be in LOndon and works for a company called Invedia. She basically wants a friend to supply Silica oil to her company. She lied to her boss n told her that she found u to supply the product at 5000 euros blah blah blah…..just watch out and dnt fall prey to this.
