South Africa Wins 29 Medals at the London 2012 Paralympic Games!

A group of 62 athletes from South Africa was sent to the London 2012 Paralympic Games. The team of 45 men and 17 women was accompanied by 45 managers, coaches and other support staff. It was the 14th time that the Paralympic Games was held in history. It's hard to believe that it's already the 7th day of events at 2012 London Olympics. It almost feels like it started yesterday. China, the United States and South Korea are currently topping the medals table at the moment (with 34, 37 and 14 total medals respectively). Chad Le Clos Wins Second South African Gold Medal in London

The 2012 London Olympics are still in full swing. 20 year old South African swimmer Chad Le Clos (who hails from Durban in Kwazulu Natal) competed in the 200m Butterfly final for his country last night. Le Clos won the gold medal in the event.  He beat Michael Phelps from the United States (who is probably the most successful swimmer in Olympic history). The 2012 London Olympics are in full swing. The 30th Olympic games had its opening ceremony on the 27th of July. The first events in the Olympics started on Saturday the 28th of July. On Friday the 27th of July 2012 the 30th Summer Olympic Games will kick off in London in the United Kingdom. An estimated 10,500 athletes from 204 countries will be competing in this year’s games.
